About Run for Mercy
Runners across the nation lace up their shoes and hit the pavement to show their love and support for the young women of Mercy Ministries! Since 2008, Mercy has been represented in over 15 cities, with thousands of participants in the Run for Mercy 5K and Family Walk events as well as established marathons across the country. These runners have helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Mercy Ministries program.
Run for Mercy isn’t just for grownups though. The Run for Mercy 5K’s are family-friendly events with activities for kids, such as bounce houses, fun runs and face painting. Right now is the time to get involved with a Run for Mercy event near you! You can run as an individual or with a team or you can even participate as a virtual runner!
What is Mercy Ministries?
Mercy Ministries’ free-of-charge, voluntary faith-based residential program serves young women from all socio-economic backgrounds, ages 13-28, who face a combination of life-controlling issues such as eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, depression and unplanned pregnancy. Mercy also serves young women who have been physically and sexually abused, including victims of sex trafficking. Using proven methods, a holistic approach and professional counselors in a structured residential environment, Mercy has helped thousands of young women be restored to wholeness. Mercy’s goal is to help these young women find freedom from their issues and empower them to serve in their communities as productive citizens.
